Staying up late :: Miscellany Monday

1. I'm pretty sure I'm getting old... I went over to a friends house this weekend and we stayed up until 6 am Sunday morning. We got an hour and a half of sleep that night. Last night we had a birthday party for my sister Mallory so no nap for me. I was so dead by the end of the night. I still am. I used to be able to do that kind of stuff a be fine... but... not anymore I guess!


2. So how do you like the newish look? My sister Megan did it for me =] I've got a more springish header, but I'm going to wait to put it up.


3. I'm really hoping for more spring like weather with the coming of March... because I'm pretty sick or snow.

Vlog #2

Well I am finally better! Thank goodness. I was getting cabin fever. 

So here is out next VLOG. I.... just don't know. Its random and thats all I have to say. 

My favorite part is at 5:00. Seriously. I laughed so hard when we watched it. Oh my word. So when it comes to that WATCH MEGAN. Because thats the funny part.

I am sick :: Miscellany Monday

 Since its Monday. I decided I'd participate in miscellany monday today. Normally I don't have time to post on Mondays. But today I do.

1. I am sick. With a cold of some sort. It started Saturday evening. Yesterday I didn't go to church and just slept and laid around. Then I couldn't go to sleep last night because I had slept all day. Weird right? Oh well. 

2. I am currently listening to this song:

3. For some reason, youtube will not play videos on my computer unless I got straight to the channel. Do you realize how annoying this is? Someone says "hey check out this video" and it is literally a huge pain to find it and then have to go to the person's channel to watch it. Thats just annoying. If you have any idea how to fix this, I'd love you forever. 


4. Headphones.

Vlog #1

Well. Its the moment you've all been waiting for! 

Megan and I finally did our first vlog last night... I shake my head because we are just... weird. But anyway, enjoy getting to know some random things about us and be on the look out for more of these.... I don't know.... weird videos. 


And yes, there is some editing. I said no editing... but Megan made me. Plus... some little children decided to burst in laughing. =] Crazy kids!

Finally a weekend.

My friends and I at school are always talking about how we have no weekend. We normally have a bunch of homework to do. Its either, do homework or cram in all on Monday and Tuesday. 


Well this weekend I finally had an actual fun weekend. (After I did some homework of course.)


Me and a few of my really good friends went to go see The Eagle. 
Yes. It was super good.


A little free fact about me: I love stuff about Rome. I just find it so interesting. So, I liked this movie and it is loosely based on a part of the Roman History. I'll have to do some more reading to find out what all was truth and what all was just made up.

A chunk of Random.

1. The fact that 3 times now at Wal-mart, I have been asked if the pictures I was printing were professional. This really cracks me up. Because when I see girls in shorts and sweatshirts by a pond I think professionally taken pictures.... 

2. I LOVE Julian Smiths videos. Call me weird, but they are so hilarious! I've watched every single one at least two times. His latest one was especially amusing.

3. I would enjoy NOT having braces right now. 

4. I'm currently working on a scrapbook of things I do during my Junior and Senior year. Its coming along nicely =] Scrapbooking is an art in and of itself thats for sure.

Some Changes

Don't freak. Its only some design changes. I thought maybe my blog needed a little face lift. Plus, I had some extra time anyway, since I'm on facebook fast. I'd like to point a few new things out to you.

 First, You'll notice some little button on my side bar. Well those are handy little things that will connect you to my facebook, twitter and flickr pages. Check them out!

The mini blog. A twitter widget that shows my recent twitter updates.

 Sites that I heart. Check them out. They are all amazing. This page includes some of my favorite blogs and well as other blogs done by writers, and other people. And even just some regular sites that aren't blogs.

And probably the most noticeable, the new header. =] So, thoughts? Let me know how you like the new connect things! :D 

Winter is getting old

I'm so ready for spring.

No more snow. 

No more cold.

Snowpocalypse :: Facebook Challenge

 Snow.

We have a lot of it over here in Iowa. In our yard, we have a 6-7 foot drift. No joke. Some of the other drifts of 2-3 feet deep. Its crazy. We got about 18 inches of snow within... I don't know... half a day or so. This morning, we couldn't get out our drive, Dad couldn't go to work and the snow plows hadn't even been out yet. It was just pure insaneness (is that even a word?) outside. Of course, being the person I am, I had to go walk in the huge drifts and take pictures. 

See our crazy drifts? All the highways leading out of Washington were closed today. Everyone was inside, and let me tell you, that was the smart thing to do because it was kinda cold outside. I enjoyed my snow day a lot. =]

The-no-facebook-challenge.
My bible study and I (the bible study consists of me and a bunch of my friends from school.) have decided to do a fasting challenge. For most of us, we are taking a one week break from facebook. Thats right. No facebook for a week. That might not sound bad to some of you, but for most of us in the group, facebook is out life. Okay, not really, but you get the point. The other few who don't spend as much time of facebook are giving up things such as: 
Writing
and Video games 
Along with no-facebook (or whatever else) we are only listening to christian music. For music lovers like me and my friends, this is a little hard, but I'm sure we'll make it. hehe.


We decided that instead of getting on Facebook we would spend that time either reading the Bible or praying. Even just reading a christian book. Filling our facebook time, with Godbook time. 
We'll see how this goes, but lets just say, I'm excited to see where this takes us.
